Birk Ruud wins the Beijing Air + Style big air World Cup
Birk Rudd the young up and coming 19 year old rider from Norway took the win at the Big Air World Cup in China.
Beijing China is set to be the next host venue for the winter Olympics in 2022. The Shougang Park is said to be one of the best jumps in the world allowing the riders to throw down impressive tricks.
It was not all smooth sailing for Birk as he crashed in his first jump however he then went on to land a never-been done before double bio 1800 and when added to the right double misty 1440 mute from his second hit he took the win from Teal Harle who took 2nd place and Jesper Tjader 3rd.
This is Birk's second podium of the season and his third big air World Cup win of his career.
In the womens competition Silvia Bertagna took 3rd place with landing a switch left 540 mute, left corked 720 ripped mute.
