The great final of the 7th Freeski World Cup Corvatsch went down at Silvaplana in the Engadine in Switzerland today and the Andri Ragettli took the win in the men's and Silvia Bertagna took 3rd place in the ladies.

The impeccably shaped slopestyle course at Corvatsch Park saw an epic grand final of the 7th Freeski World Cup Corvatsch on Saturday, March 30th 2019 in Silvaplana near St. Moritz. The international freeski elite made their way to Engadin for a chance to grab a medal at the last freestyle skiing World Cup event of the competition season. Andri Ragettli won with a technical performance at the Freeski World Cup Corvatsch.

As the last FIS Freestyle Ski World Cup event of the 2018/2019 season, the pressure was on to impress the judges on the perfectly groomed slopestyle course at Corvatsch Park. The nail-biting finals day saw 8 female and 15 male athletes put down their best tricks in sunny conditions, with the best of two runs counting.

In the men's contest, it was Swiss Andri Ragettli who grabbed the top spot with his solid second run earning him 93.71 points consisting of a switch right double, switch right double, switch left double safety 1080 mute, misty 1260's bow and arrow, left triple cork at 1620 safety and a left switch 270 on 810 out. "I am so happy! This was my 5th World Cup victory this season. I could not land my first run and the pressure on the second run was enormous. But, I managed to land it and ended up in first place. What a season end! Thanks to the Corvatsch Park Crew, it’s the best park ever!" said the happy winner. Fellow team riders Birk Ruud took 4th place and Oystein Braaten 6th, Finn Bilous 13th and Nick Goepper 15th.


In the women's Silvia Bertagna took third place behind Megan Oldman in 1st and Tess Ledeux in 2nd.

7th Freeski World Cup Corvatsch exceeded all expectations
This year's Freeski World Cup on Corvatsch in Silvaplana saw some of the best action of the World Cup contest season. Fantastic weather conditions from training to finals day meant the world’s top freeskiers were able to make the most of the first-class slopestyle setup at Corvatsch Park."WHAT A GREAT SHOW! Everything went perfectly," said Daniel Schaltegger, head of the organizing committee, "An excellent course, top-level riders, many spectators and a week of perfect Engadin weather. The Corvatsch saw a freeskiing festival at it’s best and the event staff did a fantastic job – what a blast for a season finale. The freeski World Cup Corvatsch wrapped up the current FIS World Cup season and Andri Ragettli took 3rd place in the overall standings.
